In independent testing conducted in accordance with EPA protocol the Innova Sub-Micron Biological Filter removed over 99.99% of cysts and 99.9999% of the bacteria when tested under strict at EPA protocol. The carbon composite filter also removes the chemical or taste of a disinfectant that may be added if viral contamination is suspected. Similar to our entire sport bottle, this product is filled with water and squeezed to pass the water through the dual filter elements.
